in greek mythology, nephele was a cloud nymph created by zeus in the
shape of the goddess hera to test the lust of king ixion.
hailwood’s summer collection is inspired by Nephele and other cloud
nymphs that live in castles in the air.
“the collection is understandably feminine, ethereal and pretty,” says hailwood. “the entire range has hidden
depths, like looking for patterns in clouds and moving from a starting point of
uncertainty to a realization of what you can see,” he says.
